This presentation will provide an outline of your rights when confronted by police officers and/or other officers of the state. The Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights to privacy against unreasonable searches and seizures, to have an attorney, to remain silent, to due process, and to speedy adjudication will be covered with sufficient depth to provide the audience with a practical, functional understanding of their rights. Additionally, this presentation will summarize your rights should you be subpoenaed to give testimony before a grand jury. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A session, during which, if anyone wishes, the audience may present hypothetical situations and have their concerns addressed. The information disseminated during this presentation will be vital for those endeavoring to participate in direct action and/or have concerns about potentially facing a grand jury as prosecutors continue to abuse their power to call for a grand jury as a device for building a blacklist of anarchist activists.
