Organizing at the Intermediate Level

Capitalism is facing a structural crisis and provides no viable solutions for accelerating social decay and ecological catastrophe. Unfortunately, at the same time political consciousness is at a low and radicals are disorganized as a social force. This presentation will discuss organizing at the intermediate level as a means towards building a combative, autonomous mass movement in opposition to capitalism and imperialism by starting from where we are at. The intermediate level is an organizing philosophy which prioritizes the creation of theoretically diverse horizontal organizations which incorporate multiple philosophical and theoretical currents with the goal of building a mass movement. Presented by Kaan Ocbe, a member of One Struggle, an anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist collective based in Miami.
